Goddess of the Fireflies

On her 16th birthday, Catherine receives a yellow discman, the book "Christiane F." and the right to go to the mall. It was also the day her father drove her mother's jeep into a wall. Catherine is going through adolescence at the same time as her parents are going through a divorce. She doesn't care. She is too busy dealing with Melanie Belley who terrorises her for absolutely nothing. Catherine climbs the social ladder in high school by stealing her boyfriend Pascal. Catherine is eager to know everything. The exploration will not be gentle or romantic. From Pascal to Keven, from one skid to another, she grows up in the violent and spectacular chaos of 90's grunge adolescence.
