Caught between the German army occupying the country, the local resistance and the different attitudes of the inhabitants of his village, his destiny is about to change. A huge success in the Netherlands, this film is based on the novel "Winter in Wartime" ("Oorlogswinter") by Jan Terlouw, published in 1972.
